Shipping & Delivery Policy

International Shipping

We ship worldwide to most of the countries except a few where reliable and consistent courier services are not available. In all International orders, the shipping and handling charges are paid for by the customer while placing the order.

In case of overseas orders, the shipping cost is calculated on the basis of weight, size the parcel including the product, the packing material etc and delivery destination. Once you choose a product and add it to 'My Cart' and proceed to Checkout, the exact cost of shipping is auto calculated.

Please note that residential shipments to USA & some other countries will be left at door if someone is not there to receive the package or no one answers the door bell. Our courier agents will not be able to provide sign confirmation of delivery made in such cases. To ensure that no disputes arise due to this, kindly make sure that someone is there to receive the package when courier delivery is attempted.

VAT & Custom Duties

In case of international consignments customers are responsible for any VAT/ customs or duty fees levied by their country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict where they will occur, as policies vary greatly from country to country. They are entirely your responsibility. The courier company may also charge some additional service charges over and above customs duty on case to case basis.

India Shipping

We take great pride in being able to offer FREE SHIPPING to any address in India to our customers. To ensure the quickest confirmed delivery on all orders within India, please be sure to include the complete postal address with the correct PIN code.

Delivery

Indian Silk House Exclusives shall deliver products to all cities across India as well as outside India, as may be found feasible from time to time. Indian Silk House Exclusives shall not be liable for delays resulting from incomplete address listings. In the event of a reshipment of the same order, customers will be responsible to pay re-shipping charges for the same.

Courier partners and Transit time

To ensure safe delivery of all products, we use the best packaging possible. All orders are shipped by reliable courier agencies like DTDC and DELHIVERY for domestic shipments and DHL for international shipments. The package is home delivered within approximately 5-7 working days for international orders and within 3-5 working days within India after despatch.

In case the persons available at such places at the time of delivery fail to accept the package for any reason, we will under no circumstances issue a refund or credit to the customer's account, nor shall we attempt re-shipment of the same order. For a special or preferred delivery date the customer should necessarily mention the required delivery date in the message box while placing the order. If the order does not contain any delivery date, the package shall be delivered at the first opportunity as soon as possible.

Customers are requested to provide full address with pin code/zip code, and any inaccuracies in delivery on account of incorrect address shall not be the responsibility of Indian Silk House Exclusives in any manner. Please note that “Billing Address” shall mean the address where a customer receives the bills. Shipping address shall mean the address where the order shall have to be delivered.

In case of multiple orders, customer may receive the same separately, depending on product availability and shipping locations. All products shall be shipped from Kolkata, India.

Shipment Time

For each item we have mentioned time to ship along with the item image. These are only indicative and approximate and items can be shipped earlier or later on case to case basis depending on availability of item and other factors. It is advisable to email us with the item codes to get more accurate time to ship estimate.

As far as possible, product orders shall be processed within 48-72 hours of the order being placed without customisation. Expected shipment time is 3-10 business days in case any customisation is chosen.

Transit Risk

Once we hand over your parcel to postal/ courier agency we take no responsibility towards the same. We are confident that the reputed couriers whom we work with will surely be able to deliver your parcel safely and promptly. Indian silk house Exclusives will not be responsible for lost and stolen packages or any full or partial damages to the package after being left at customer's address by postal/courier agency.

Tracking of Shipment

Indian Silk House Exclusives shall provide details of shipment via email alerts to the customer, once the package is handed across to the courier agency. The email alerts shall contain the transport/courier agency’s website details along with tracking number and expected date of delivery. The Customer may use the said details to keep a check on status of the package.

Please note that tracking numbers for orders shipped may take up to 24-48 business hours to become active for tracking on the websites of the courier company.

Request for change of Postal Address

The address alteration requests may be accommodated within 24 hours of placing the order. You may send your alteration request to info@indiansilkhouse.com and the needful will be done. However,the postal address as provided by the customer cannot be changed, if shipment has already left our premises

Delay in shipping

Time to ship mentioned on our website against each item is indicative and approximate values only and sometimes due to situations beyond our control, delays may occur. No refund, returns, replacement & exchange will be entertained for this reason.

However benefits such as some store credit to be used for future orders, free gift etc can be allowed on case to case basis.

If, for any reason there is going to be a potential delay in shipping because an item is out of stock or if there is an unusual delay in fulfilling an order, we will notify you by e-mail
